Tom is a Director of Arup, the employee-owned global firm of designers, engineers and consultants working across all aspects of cities, infrastructure and the built environment. He is Arup's UK Government and Innovation Leader, and Leeds Office Leader. Tom is a town planner and economist, who has extensive experience in urban policy, economic development, regeneration, masterplanning, and transport. He was previously Chief Officer Economy and Regeneration at Leeds City Council, where he led on the production the Leeds Inclusive Growth Strategy. Tom is a strong advocate for inclusive growth, and the importance of putting children and young people at the centre of regeneration and growth strategies.
