Yesterday, the Home Secretary announced that Baroness Anne Longfield will chair the National Independent Inquiry into Grooming Gangs.
As Founder, Anne will continue to play an active role at the Centre and will remain closely involved as we grow and strengthen our organisation.
We are delighted to announce that Haroon Chowdry will take up the new role of CEO of the Centre for Young Lives in early 2026 to lead and manage the organisation during its next phase of exciting growth.

Haroon joins us from GambleAware, where he was Director of Evidence and Insights. He was previously Director of Evidence at the Children’s Commissioner’s Office, where he led its data function to build the evidence base on vulnerable children and families. He has also held senior roles at the Early Intervention Foundation (now Foundations) and the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
